Mass transit railway stations are among the most complex, high-density environments in civil infrastructure. Upgrading life safety and fire protection systems in active, sub-surface (underground) environments presents unique challenges: hundreds of thousands of daily passengers, high-velocity ventilation systems, and zero tolerance for network downtime.
This project entails a comprehensive modernization of a station's aging, legacy fire infrastructure. By replacing obsolete equipment with an intelligent, highly integrated, and modern fire safety network, the upgrade minimizes false alarms, streamlines maintenance, and ensures rapid, automated emergency evacuation procedures.
